Academic Admissions Process

The admissions process for our academic programs has two stages, application and interview. See below for additional application requirements.

  1. Fill out the application.

  2. Complete an autobiographical essay setting forth in 600-800 words:

    1. Your reasons for applying to the ATI Seminary

    2. An assessment of your strengths and weaknesses as an applicant for theological studies

    3. The significant events of your life, your Christian experience, and your relationship to the church

  3. Three letters of recommendation:

    1. Your pastor

    2. An advisor in an academic setting, or a supervisor who is acquainted with your work ethic

    3. A non-relative layperson who has known you in a church role or professional setting

    4. Married students must send a letter from their spouse expressing their support for their chosen study program

  4. Official transcripts from each former education institution you have attended. 

After a student’s application materials have been received and assessed the applicant may be invited for an in person or video interview to complete their application. 

Admission to the Diploma program or to the M.T.S. is usually the first degree in theology or Christian ministry. For an M.T.S. degree, a bachelor's degree in any subject, with some formal academic theology, for example, a certificate or diploma in theology and at least three years of documented ministry experience is required. Students may be required to do prerequisite reading in order to be granted acceptance.

Module: €300 + dissertation (€600)

Application fee: €50

Graduation fee: €200

Seminar fee: €50


Delivery Method

  • 3 face to face seminar days w/a visiting lecturer per semester (3-4 days).

  • Online meetings on Thursdays (six-eight 2.5-hour Zoom meetings per module).

  • Ongoing 1-1 tutoring meeting with your faculty mentor.
