The Dip.Th. is an introductory one-two-year program for learners with a variety of academic backgrounds and usually requires a high school diploma. This degree can be studied in Finnish or English.

Purpose
The Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) degree is a two-year advanced degree program that provides instruction in the broad range of theological disciplines. The degree consists of 5 core modules (10 ECTS /20 UK units each) with 1 independent elective module (6 modules in total) and a dissertation (30 ECTS: 60 UK units; 14,000-17,000 words). The entire program consists of 90 ECTS / 180 UK units.

Requirements & Outcomes
Each module includes required attendance, 3-4 required books for readings + a 5000-6000 word essay. Students are expected to study at least 200 hours per module. This means that one needs to be able to devote at least 10 hours of study per week per module for 15 weeks per semester + serve an active church member in their local covenant community.
Each student is assigned a faculty mentor who will teach, form, and nurture ATS students to ensure graduates exhibit the following competencies:
• A solid understanding of Scripture, theology, and church history.
• An ability to interpret and communicate the Gospel and the Scriptures.
• A competency for faithful leadership in the local church.
